Arklow Pottery was established at South Quay in 1934 and provided huge employment for many townspeople over the years. The factory produced quality earthen tableware for everyday use and as its business grew, it diversified into hotel ware, producing customised crockery for top Dublin hotels such as The Gresham Hotel and The Shelbourne Hotel. Arklow also produced Fine Bone China which was among the best in the world.

Arklow Pottery leaves a legacy which is unrivalled among companies today. Practically every family in Arklow and its environs has a connection with Arklow Pottery. Within The Pottery Restaurant you can view the wonderful Arklow Pottery display showing some of the famous designs from over the years. Plentiful free customer parking available onsite.
