Falconry Ireland

Falconry is one of Ireland’s oldest field sports, dating from the 12th century. But it’s not the tradition of falconry that attracts people these days, it’s the mesmerising birds themselves! Would you like to engage hands-on with these beautiful birds? See them up close in the beautiful surroundings of Woodenbridge, deep in the Garden of Ireland.

Falconry Ireland is situated in rolling countryside on the banks of the historic Goldmines River, just 7km from Arklow. Apart from the active practice of falconry, the Centre offers an important educational and photographic facility where visitors can experience these magnificent birds up close and intimately. You’ll have the opportunity to handle a trained hawk and enjoy the thrill of seeing it flying free and returning to your gloved fist!
